Overview
The Product List displays all products configured in Resico ERP and serves as the central view for managing your product catalog. From this screen, users can search, filter, sort, export, import and open individual product cards.
The list provides an overview of key product information, including:
- Product Number
- Description
- Standard Price
- Sales Price
- Unit Cost
- Profit
- Mark-up %
- Gross Margin %
Who Can Use This
Access to the Product List is managed under Administration → Users.
- Users with View Products permission can access the list, search, filter and review product information.
- Users with Edit Products permission can additionally create new products and modify existing product cards.
Typical users include purchasing managers, inventory controllers, product managers and sales administrators.
Prerequisites
Before using the Product List, ensure that:
- You have permission to access Products → Product List.
- You have edit permissions if you need to create or modify products.
- Required master data has been configured, including:
- VAT Groups
- Units of Measure
- Product Categories
- Product Departments
- Each new product is assigned a unique product number. Duplicate product numbers are not permitted.
Navigation
Menu Path:
ERP → Products → Product List
Open the Products menu and select Product List to view all available products.
Using the Product List
Search and Filter Products
Use the search field to quickly locate products. The search function checks multiple fields, including:
- Product Number
- Alias
- Product Name
- Notes
- Vendor
- Category
- Department
- Barcode
Additional filters are available for:
- Active / Inactive status
- Product Type
- Category
- Department
- Vendor
- Location
- VAT Group
If expected products are not visible, click Clear Filter to remove all active filters and reload the complete list.
Customize Columns
Use the column settings button to configure the table view.
You can:
- Show or hide columns
- Change column order
- Lock important columns so they remain visible when scrolling horizontally
These settings allow users to tailor the product list to their workflow.
Create a New Product
To create a product:
- Click Add New Product.
- A new Product Card opens in a separate window.
- Enter the required product information.
- Save the product.
Once saved, the product becomes available in the Product List.

Open an Existing Product
To view or edit a product:
- Click the Product Number or the Edit icon.
- The Product Card opens.
- Review or modify the product details as needed.
- Save your changes.
Export Products
The Product List can be exported for reporting or data analysis purposes.
- Exports containing up to 10,000 rows are generated in Excel (.xlsx) format.
- Exports exceeding 10,000 rows are automatically generated in CSV format.
- CSV exports have no row limit and are recommended for large datasets.
The CSV delimiter can be configured in the customer settings:

The semicolon (;) is the default option because it is commonly used in European regions where commas are used as decimal separators.
Import Products
To create or update multiple products simultaneously:
- Click Import.
- Download the provided Excel template.
- Complete the template with product information.
- Upload the file.
The standard import template contains the following columns:
- SKU
- Name
- Alias
- Type
- Unit
- VAT
- Price
- Unit Cost
- Category
- Vendor
- Barcode
- Image
Mandatory fields are defined in the Product Import documentation.
Use Multi-Action Tools
When enabled, multiple products can be selected and updated simultaneously.
Available actions may include:
- Activate products
- Deactivate products
- Update e-commerce settings
- Modify price groups
- Change product status
Available actions depend on system configuration and user permissions.
Return to the Product List
After editing a product, return to the list using:
- Back
- Save & Go to List
Required Fields
The Product List itself does not require any user input.
However, when creating a new product, the following fields are typically mandatory:
- Product Number
- Product Type
- Description
- Sales Price
- VAT Group
- Unit of Measure
Additional mandatory fields may vary depending on system configuration.
Validation Rules
- Product Numbers must be unique.
- Existing Categories, Departments, Vendors and Product Types must be selected when filtering.
- Invalid filter combinations may result in an empty product list.
- Attempting to create a product with a duplicate Product Number will result in a validation error.
Common Errors
No Products Displayed
Cause: Active filters may be restricting the results.
Solution: Click Clear Filter and refresh the product list.
Access Denied
Cause: Insufficient user permissions.
Solution: Contact a system administrator to review your user access rights.
Duplicate Product Number
Cause: The Product Number already exists.
Solution: Use a unique Product Number before saving the product.
Troubleshooting
Product List Appears Outdated
- Refresh the page.
- Clear your browser cache.
- Verify that filters are not limiting the displayed results.
Missing Columns
- Review the column configuration settings.
- Check whether columns have been hidden.
- Increase screen resolution or expand the browser window if necessary.
Slow Performance
For large product catalogs:
- Apply filters before searching.
- Narrow the search criteria.
- Export data and analyze it externally if large datasets must be reviewed.
